  • SDK code (separate repository when published): Apache 2.0

The canonical license posture for the daemon is AGPL-3.0. Any code released under AGPL-3.0 stays AGPL-3.0 for those releases — license retraction is not how copyleft works.

The project surfaces its commitments through the LICENSE and the README rather than a separate charter document.

Self-hosted

There is no hosted capture service. You run Khiip on your own machine, against your own accounts and rate-limit budgets, and your data stays in your filesystem — exportable as Markdown, YAML, or JSON at any time.
